Remita an e-payment and e-collection platform developed by SystemsSpecs Limited has been recently taken to Ghana. As told by the company, it will make the monthly salary processing for businesses, NGOs and SMEs to be extremely easy.

The company is said to be riding on partnership with Access Bank and introduction of Remita Payroll is a part of the bank’s long-term objective of continuous innovation to meet the diverse needs of the business community. The product launch took place at the Bank’s headquarters in Accra.

According to the Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Mr Kris Njoku, their objective is to always give their customers a banking experience backed by need-based solutions that are powered by robust technology, which this partnership with SystemSpecs represents as it brings them closer to achieving their strategic objective of becoming Africa’s gateway to the world.

As stated by the company that the technology completely eliminates the need for the salary to be processed on various platforms or given to third party agencies. It stated that the solution helped organisations to significantly improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in employee management.

The Divisional Head of SystemSpec’s International Business, Demola Igbalajobi, “As technology providers, we are convinced that this partnership provides Access Bank’s customers and non-customers with a new and exciting capability and flexibility for the management of monthly payroll processing and payment at a low cost. More importantly, the relationship complements our Africa roll-out strategy which is based on collaboration and partnership with reputable institutions that also have a pan-Africa outlook.”

Remita, a Nigerian licensed platform helps the organisations and individuals to transfer payments online. It is famously used by Central Bank of Nigeria on behalf of Federal Government of Nigeria for Treasury Single Account. Apart from this it is also used by all 22 commercial banks and over 400 micro finance banks in Nigeria. It said to be a flagship creation of SystemsSpecs, which was founded in 1991 as a business to business selling software company.
